Valle Santa Maria
The campground is located on the southern coast of the island, in the municipality of Lacona, facing a large beach of the same name. It is nestled in luxuriant Maquis shrubland and a thick forest of tall Pine trees.
Immediately inland, less than a kilometre away, is the town of Lacona, situated at the entrance of the Monte Capo Stella promontory. The Lacona district is distinguished as being among the best-known on Elba island.

It is possible to stay at the campground in a tent, a trailer or RV, or in one of the fourteen new apartments that can sleep from 2 to 7 people and are equipped with individual heating systems.
The campground offers numerous top level services, including:
- Barbecue grilles to cook outdoors
- Wi-fi internet connection
- Wash room facilities with washing machines and dryers
- Free entrance for pets
- Sports facilities and direct access to the beach
- A café on the beach
Valle Santa Maria provides specific services for young children: there is an entire wash room facility block provided for them, recreational courses, a small train that rides around the campground and a video room where movies and cartoons are shown.

Firstly, one can go to the large Lacona beach where it is possible to take sailing courses and practice boating thanks to the boathouse and hauling and launching services that the facility offers.Thanks to the free bike rental and the dedicated mountain bike area, it is possible to move freely around the campground.
It is also possible to play tennis and book guided day trips at the reception desk to learn more about Elba and the other islands in the archipelago.A particularly interesting idea is to make day trips to visit all of the most beautiful beaches along the Lacona coast, one at a time, including Laconella and Margidore, or go into San Giovanni, in the municipality of Portoferraio, to enjoy the hot springs.

As Lacona is located quite centrally on the island, it is possible to reach Portoferraio very easily, where one can visit the Napoleonic Museums, the Medici Fortresses and Villa Romana delle Grotte, as well as Capoliveri (The Alfeo Ricci Museum of Elban Minerals) and Porto Azzurro (The Etruscan Mineral Museum).It is just a half-hour drive to the Procchio village district along the northern part of the Elban coast, where one can visit the ruins of two Roman settlements.The Enfola promontory is particularly impressive, between Portoferraio and Biodola Bay, where one can circumnavigate following the marked path.
